My love for design and flowers started in college when I had the opportunity to work with one of the most talented floral designers I have ever met. I started doing deliveries on weekends for Christine and progressed to wedding & reception set-ups for a few years.  I went on to get my bachelors degree in Marketing.  A few years later, our paths crossed again when Christine was my instructor for floral design school.  She saw a passion and talent in me for floral design all those years ago that would take me many more years to discover.  After over 20 years of working in marketing for the engineering and construction industry I decided I needed to do something different and follow my heart.  Having never lost the love of design and flowers, I discovered that passion and talent Christine saw so many years ago, and I thank her for sparking a life-long love for all forms of design, especially flowers.  Flowers give me the opportunity to combine design accents for a wedding or event with the amazing scents flowers provide. Thus "Acscents" was born over a decade ago.  I love working one-on-one with a bride or client to take the floral vision that they dream of, and bring it to life for their special day.  When not meeting with clients or creating one-of-a-kind designs I enjoy spending time with my hubby, dog, friends and family and going to the mountains as much as possible to enjoy all the beauty that God has given us.

FAQ's

Q:  Where are you located and what areas do you service?  
A:   We are a private studio in the northern Denver Metro area. We provide design services to the foothills, east mountain region and the Front Range.  Acscents Floral designs both fresh and silk floral arrangements and decor. We offer a FREE Initial Consultation, so let's meet for coffee and talk about your floral vision for your wedding/event. 

Q:  I am not local to Colorado, do you work with out-of-state brides?
A:   Yes. We love working with out-of-state brides.  We can work out all the details for your special day via email, phone and/or FaceTime. Then once you arrive in Colorado, we can meet in person to finalize the details for your wedding day.

Q:  Do you design for multiple weddings/events at a time?  Do you have any wedding packages?
A:   As a private studio floral designer, Acscents limits the number of weddings/events we do per weekend, allowing us to devote our time and attention to each and every event. Because every wedding is unique and special, we do not offer wedding packages. We work personally with each couple to create a customized floral design for their wedding.

Q:  Do you have any minimum or maximum budget requirements?
A:   We feel that every wedding and event is important and special, regardless if it is big or small, so we do not have minimum or maximum budget requirements. By taking your budget into consideration from the very beginning, we can give you the best advice on using flowers for maximum effect.  We will work with you one-on-one to create a floral vision that will work with your budget and compliment your event.

Q:  What are your deposit and payment terms?
A:   Our retainer is a $200 non-refundable fee to reserve your date and our services (retainer fee may increase depending on the size and complexity of your event). The retainer fee, due within 3-weeks of the initial consultation, also goes towards your deposit.  The proposal and contract are finalized and signed 1-3-weeks after the initial consultation. The deposit, 50% of the total amount, is due a minimum of 3-months prior to the event date. The remaining balance is due 2-weeks before the event date. We do not take credit cards and payment options can be discussed at time of booking.

Q:  Do you charge any additional fees, such as delivery, set-up and/or tear-down?
A:   Yes, our Delivery Fee is $50 which covers most of the Denver Metro area. For events that are outside the standard delivery area, an extra charge of additional mileage is billed at the standard IRS approved rate.  Our Set-Up Fee starts at $250 which covers up to 3 hours of set-up and reset for ceremony and reception decor. The set-up fee can vary depending on the design effort and amount of set-up needed (this is discussed during the consultation and proposal process). If the set-up goes over the original time allocation, the client is billed for the additional time.   The Tear-Down Fee is at the client's discretion and is discussed during the consultation and proposal process.
